Red Bull’s signature 3x3 tournament kicks off in Manila!

(Manila, Philippines) – Red Bull Reign landed in Manila for Qualifier A this past Saturday, May 20th, 2017, with two teams, Team Santa Rosa and Balandra Squad, advancing to the National Finals in Manila.

Red Bull Reign is the brand’s signature 3x3 basketball tournament that pits hopefuls against one another in a high-endurance, offensive-driven battle that will end with over 15 countries sending their best to compete at the World Finals in Washington DC, USA. The rules of this tournament are simple: the team that scores the most overall points in each round will advance until one team remains.

Team Santa Rosa was the big winner of the afternoon, finishing with a total of 40 points. Team Captain, Victor Renan Sayo credits his team’s success to constant practice and conditioning. “Hard work and trust in God are our keys to success.”

Despite several setbacks prior to Qualifier A, Balandra Squad made it to the Top Two with a combined score of 31 points. As Team Captain, Airand Vicente shares, “There was no time to prepare, but we got the best of them!”

Will Lonzo Ball Ever Develop His Offensive Game?

In the Lakers' game against the Miami Heat, there were two plays that caught my attention. One was that outlet pass by LeBron James to an open Lonzo Ball who was open for a layup. No one was even close to defending Lonzo at the point and he chose to softly lay it in which […] MoreThe post Will Lonzo Ball Ever Develop His Offensive Game? appeared first on Powcast Sports.

Details on Kiefer Ravena's PBA Salary Revealed, 350,000 a Month!

It's huge! Kiefer Ravena's salary means a lot is expected from him

If NLEX could offer him more then maybe they would but for now, Keifer Ravena would have to settle for a maximum rookie salary that's worth 8.5 million in three years.
The 2nd overall pick of this year's draft may have waited to get into the PBA but that delay was worth it after the team who drafted him showed big confidence and locked him for three years.
As per our source, his salary on a monthly basis will be at  P150,000 a month for the first year. Then will go to P225,000 and the last year would be at  P350,000. The salary isn't the highest as Terrence Romeo and JunMar Fajardo, two of the biggest names in the PBA is getting more or less half a million every month.

At 24 years old, however, the former Ateneo star is only one of the two players this rookie class who's getting a max deal, one of which is Rookie Christian Standhardinger.
