SanMig Imports Rhodes and Ross Finished with Double Digits Over Winless NLEX

Charles Rhodes tallied 37 points and 19 rebounds while Chris Ross delivered 15 points and 11 assists. The two imports led the San Miguel Beerman to defeat the NLEX team at 114-108 victory and get back on their winning streak in the continuation of the OPPO PBA Commissioner’s Cup at Cuneta Astrodome on Friday.

With less than 24 hours after helping the national team to bring the gold in this year's SEABA Championship, Gilas Pilipinas player June Mar Fajardo scored 12 points and four rebounds in a 30-minute play for San Miguel.

Rhodes tallied 16 of his points in the 1st quarter of the match, which San Miguel dominated on a 36-22 lead.

The Beermen continued to unleash their offense, creating their biggest lead at 24 points.

NLEX tried to make it interesting in the last quarter when they made an 8-1 run cutting  the deficit down to 104-96, but Rhodes and Ross hot hands made huge impacts to fire up the Road Warriors up to the end.

Wayne Chism led the winless NLEX and chipped in 22 points. New recruits, JR Quinahan and Alex Mallari who played their first game after being traded a few weeks ago, tallied 12 and 11 points, respectively.
