Jessie Cris Rosales Aims to Shock Jhonny Gonzalez!

Jessie Cris Rosales of Talibon Bohol has arrived in Mexico ahead of his biggest fight to date against former world champion Jhonny Gonzalez. The fight will take place at Lienzo Charro Parral, Hidalgo Parral in Chihuahua Mexico on July 22 (July 23/Sunday Manila Time). Both boxers have attended media public work out earlier today in Chihua Mexico.

Undefeated but little known 25-year-old Rosales has a perfect record of 21 wins with 9 KOs ,1Draw and no defeat. His last fight was a second round knockout against Jerry Nardo on March 2017. Rosales who is training in Omega boxing gym in Cebu believes that the fight with Jhonny Gonzalez will be a big boost for his career. 

"Win or lose this will be a big boost to my career. But for sure I'm going to give Jhonny a good fight" 

He also has message for all the doubters that think that he is no match to Gonzalez. 

"No chance to win? Been training hard and preparing for this fight.Not affected with those negative comments" 

"I will do whatever I can do. David sent Goliath down. I will do the same" said Rosales. 

Former three division world champion Jhonny Gonzalez (63-10,53knockouts) will defend his WBC Latino Super feather weight title that he won on his last fight against Francisco Contreras by 3rd round knockout on March. WBC rated no.5 Gonzalez a veteran of 73 fights with 15 world title fights could be on the track again for another world title fight on his fourth division if he beat the younger Filipino on Sunday.
