On the Brink of Being Replaced Calvin Abueva Showed Up in Practice

The 29-year-old Clavin Abueva was on the verge of being replaced after not showing up for four practices in a row for Gilas Pilipinas.

The National team is bound for Lebanon for the FIBA Asia Cup which will take place and start on August 15. Abueva is one of the veteran players of the Gilas Pilipinas and has served the country a number of times. His energetic style is his biggest asset and to lose him from the line up will be a big blow as no one else plays like him in the current roster.

Abueva has been dealing with family matters and was not also able to also for his mother team. Yesterday, coach Chot Reyes was growing impatient as he is yet to see his star guard in practice and issued a warning that he will be forced to drop him if he doesn't show up.

We can all take a breather because Calvin Abueva appeared at practice today.
