Phoenix Torched Kia To Get First Ever Win in the 2017 PBA Governors' Cup


Both imports came to play in the very first game of the 2017 PBA Governors Cup.

Phelps led the scoring parade with 33 points with 13 boards while his opponent Cummings scored 31 points and  10 rebounds. It is what is expected for the imports and both delivered.

Phoenix got more help from their locals led by JC Intal and RJ Azul who got combined points of 37 points. The Fuel Masters was leading the point productions each quarter except for the 3rd.

Phoenix as a team shoots at 45% FG while Kia is at 41% FG. Phoneix also grabbed 11 more rebounds.

After the game, Coach Ariel Vanguardia of Phoenix talked about chemistry and payback against Kia. He also mentioned about defense and that he was not happy about it.
