Robert Onggocan - Mirco Martin set for August 12 in Germany



Robert "El Rapido" Onggocan is set to fight outside the Philippines for the second time as he takes on undefeated German National champion Mirco "The Comet" Martin on August 12 in Quierschied Germany.

21 year-old Onggocan (9-1,5KOs) of Zamboanga del Norte and now training under Dino Olivetti boxing gym in Biñan City Laguna is the current IBF Youth Flyweight title holder. He captured the title by shocking seventh round TKO upset win against former Indonesian prospect Iwan Zoda in Ngabang Indonesia in January 2017. He defended the title once with 9th round Technical decision win after his opponent Marjun Patilgan of Cebu quit before the start of 9th round.

25, Mirco Martin of Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg, Germany has an unblemished record of 9 wins with 5 knockouts. He is the current German International flyweight champion that he won with 8 round stoppage over Jozsef Ajtai. Martin is currently riding on a 4-fight knockout winning streak since he went to distance in early 2016.
