World Boxing Super Series: Super Middleweight Tournament Offcial Line Up



After Cris Eubank's decisive win over former champion Arthur Abraham on July 15 in Wembley where he defended his IBO world Super middleweight title, the official line up for World Boxing Super Series Super Middleweight Tournament is now complete and ready to go. The wait is the only issue for this rare boxing competition that will take place on September and October.

Here is the official match ups of WBSS Super Middleweight Tournament: 

For WBA "Super" World Super Middleweight Title
#1 Seed (United Kingdom) George Groves (29-3,19) vs (United Kingdom) Jamie Cox (23-0,13)

For WBC Silver Super Middleweight Title
#2 Seed (United Kingdom) Callum Smith (22-0,17) vs (Sweden) Erik Skoglund (26-0,12)

For IBO World Super Middleweight Title
(United Kingdom) Cris Eubank Jr (24-1,19) vs (Turkey) Avni Yildrim (16-0,10)

Non Title at Stake
(USA) Rob Brant (22-0,15) vs (Germany) Juergen Braehmer (48-3,35)

The WBSS Tournament will also feature Cruiserweight Tournaments. The top seeded boxers were allowed to hand pick their opponent on the draft gala held in Monte Carlo on July 8th.

In each Weight Class, 8 Elite Boxers will battle it out in a bracket-style elimination Tournament, with four Quarter-Finals (September & October 2017), two Semi-Finals (January & February 2018) and one Final (May 2018). The Winners of the World Boxing Super Series will rightfully receive the GREATEST prize in boxing, the Muhammad Ali Trophy.
