Sanman Boxing: Thai Fighter Determined to Steal Bornea’s Belt

Jade Bornea may yet to taste a single loss but as far as Jakkrawut Majoogoen is concerned, the Filipino boxer has not proven anything yet.

The Thailander Majoogoen expressed confidence of going home victorious in what he described as a make-or-break fight against Bornea in the main event of “Road to Stardom” fight card slated September 9 in Polomolok, South Cotabato.

The Thai fighter is a former WBC World youth champion who has 19 wins with only one loss. He has 11 knockout victories, an indication that he could not be taken lightly.

As a pro, Bornea has only fought eight times and won all of them.

Bornea said that against Majoogoe, he will be out to prove that he has what it takes to beat the best fighters in the division.

But Majoogoen has own mission to fulfill.

“I also need to prove myself. Prove that I am not only good only in Thailand but also in other places. I want to show my talent  all over the world,” he said.

At stake in the fight is Bornea’s IBF Youth title and Majoogoen is determined to steal the crown.

“I am training hard for this fight as this is for IBF title and I want to bring it to my country,” said Majoogoen.
Fighting in Bornea’s hometown doesn’t even bother Majoogoen a bit.

“There is no problem fighting first the time outside Thailand. I think it’s better as I am motivated and excited to win,” he said.

Majoogoen said fighting in the Philippine soil will help shape his career.

“It’s a make or break for me to fight Bornea. I would know my real ability especially that I will be fighting in his country,” the Thailander said.
