Flash News! Donaire's Masterful Boxing Conquers Mexico's Hernandez to win WBC Silver Featherweight Title

The Filipino Flash is back as he Dominates Mexican foe to a unanimous win

10 months after his unanimous decision loss against Jessie Magdaleno. Nonito Donaire has returned inside the boxing ring at the Alamodome, San Antonio, Texas, USA.

Donaire's improved boxing skills were on display early against Ruben Garcia Hernandez of Mexico, capturing the WBC Silver featherweight title with a dominating unanimous decision win with a score of 100-90, 97-93, 99-91.

Nonito Donaire looks like a complete fighter all night long showcasing good combination punches, great footwork and reliable chin as he teaches the young Mexican a few lessons in boxing.  Donaire won all rounds according to one judge of the three judges.

Donaire looks more focused tonight as he stuck to the game plan and was able to control his urge to brawl against his opponent.

"I've always been an aggressive boxer but this time i used my jab and combinations. I had the urge to just brawl and I felt like I hurt him. But ultimately I did a great job showing versatility in my game. - Nonito Donaire
This is Nonito Donaire's first fight under Richard Shaefer's Ringstar Promotion. Schaefer was formerly a part of Oscar Dela Hoya's Golden Boy while Nonito Donaire was a former boxer under Bob Arum's Top Rank.

With the win today, Nonito Donaire upgraded his record to 38 wins and 4 losses as the 34 year old start another campaign into world title contention.
