Pinoy MMA Fighter Richard Corminal looks to spoil Arnaud Lepont’s ONE Championship return

Filipino standout Richard “Notorious” Corminal does not view himself as someone who possesses any superhuman qualities, but he vows to do something truly exceptional on Friday, 24 November as he makes his second trip to the ONE Championship cage.
Corminal is booked to lock horns with French veteran Arnaud “The Game” Lepont on the undercard of ONE: IMMORTAL PURSUIT, which takes place at the iconic Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore on Friday, 24 November.
Holding a 4-2 record with every win coming by way of knockout, Corminal has made a statement in each of his victories as for the knockout artist called “Notorious,” talking with his hands in the cage is something that comes naturally.
After falling short in his promotional debut against Thai martial arts superstar Shannon Wiratchai last March, the 35-year-old Filipino lightweight sets his sights on a colossal goal at ONE: IMMORTAL PURSUIT as he plans to place himself back on the winning track by spoiling the celebrated return of Lepont.
“I have watched his fights, He is good. Tough. I am just going to do my thing. “I want to finish my fights standing,” Corminal said. “Sometimes when I have an opponent on the ground, I can beat them up. But I prefer to finish a fight standing.”
After two years away from the cage, Lepont is finally making his long-awaited return to ONE Championship.
Lepont took a break from competition to manage one of Vietnam’s biggest martial arts gyms in the nation’s capital of Ho Chi Minh City.
A fixture in the Asian martial arts scene who sports an experienced standing of 11 wins and five losses, the 37-year-old Frenchman had his maiden assignment under the organization’s banner in 2012 and has since notched two hard-earned victories in the ONE Championship cage.
“He is a more experienced fighter than I am. I know what he is capable of doing inside the cage,” Corminal said of Lepont. “I will do my best. I’ve worked hard just to make it here in ONE Championship. I won’t waste this opportunity.”
Although he has a tough opposition in front of him on Friday, Corminal is confident that he could notch a decisive triumph in his favor.
“I take pride on being an exciting competitor inside the cage, willing to please the crowd by always seeking the highlight-reel finish. In my second ONE Championship match, fans are in for a treat,” he guaranteed.
