NLEX Road Warriors fell short against Rain or Shine


Veteran Asi Taulava scored 12 points but his team fell short against the rejuvenated Rain or Shine franchise. 

Preseason actions from the Upper Deck gym in Mandaluyong as both undefeated teams collide in a preseason tussle to determine their condition and status for the upcoming PBA opening day that is set for December 17, 2017. 

The game is part of the 4 teams pocket tournament. Rain or Shine win gave them a 2-0 standing while NLEX dropped to 1-1.  Rain or Shine Don Trallano, scored 20 points and led the team while Ahanmisi contributed 16.


After the game, Coach Yeng Guiao was a disappointed but also said that it is a learning process. 

Rabeh Al-Hussaini showed up with 16 points while the Phenom Kiefer Ravena scored 14. Ravena and Alas tandem for NLEX will be highly anticipated this upcoming season.

The card, at the ProBox TV Events Center in Plant City, Florida, is led by two featherweights attempting to climb the rankings Angelo Leo (23-1, 11 KOs), who trains out of Las Vegas, Nevada, made weight at 125.8 lbs. His opponent, Eduardo Baez (23-5-2, 9 KOs), came in slightly lighter at 125.4 lbs. They will contest a 10-round main event. Leo is a former WBO super-bantamweight champion.
