Chris Hofmann Stops David Douglas, Retains URCC Middleweight Belt

Chris Hofmann successfully defended one of his two titles which was the middleweight on Friday, January 7 in Kezar Pavillion, San Francisco, CA at URCC 29: Conquest against David Douglas. The Filipino-Swiss Universal Reality Combat Championship fighter simultaneously holds two titles in two different weight classes. Hofmann survived barrage of punches in 40 seconds by Douglas who nearly finished our kababayan during the opening round. Douglas started to slow which led Hofmann getting back to his feet. As soon as Hofmann put Douglas on the ground, he began unloading series of ground and pound and dominated his opponent. At 3 minutes 55 seconds of the first round, he finished David and capture the middleweight belt again! Is it just me or the referee didn't see enough to stop the bout earlier? The referee let it go on a little longer even if I see the fighter wasn't fighting back anymore. Just my opinion. But oh well, that was an impressive way to win a championshi... ... See more

URCC 28: Vindication Was Arguably One Of The Best Fight Cards

URCC 28: Vindication was as BIGGEST BADDEST as I expected to be. The preliminary card bouts had action-packed and multiple finishes. Ref had to stop the fight as Mechavez pounded out Macaria via TKO (doctor stoppage) in round  two. Solomon Dultra also finished MJ Abrillo in the second round by way of submission. Drex Zamboanga climbed to the top of the cage celebrating for choking out Sem Bicaldo. Do Gyeom Lee successfully defended his featherweight title vs. Ryan Dela Cruz. An elbow opened up a cut above Lee's forehead and leg kicks rendered the Filipino's left leg swollen. After the five rounds of back and forth, Lee was the winner by unanimous decision. Two warriors with plenty of motivations to get the win co-headlined the night. Both have all the makings for a great fight. CJ De Tomas with series of slams to the ground outwrestled Alvin Ramirez. Blood splattered on Ramirez from the knee to the head he gave to De Tomas. Kastigo had some great three rounds but ... ... See more

Chris “ half man ( Hofmann) half amazing”

Majority of Filipino fighters are built for smaller divisions. In fact we have more than enough talented fighters to fill the smaller and lighter division. Based on my observation, a lot of Filipinos do not even know that we have few good upcoming  fighters in light and heavy weight divisions. I am sure that fans and supporters of local MMA scene know or familiar  about Chris Hofmann but it’s time to introduce this guy to the rest of you all who might have not heard about him yet. Chris Hoffman is a half Filipino, half Swiz pure breed DEFTAC fighter .  The 6ft light heavy fighter is currently ranked number 4 out of 8 active Pro Light Heavyweights in Southeast Asia.
