Rivalry Truce: Curry, Harden vs. James, Durant, Who's the Better Duo?

When the all-star game between Lebron's and Curry's team commenced. It would be a 48-minute temporary truce on current rivalries. LeBron is with Kyrie Irving which is in Boston Celtics, the number one team in the east that Cavs is trying to chase. What's even better is he'll be playing with Kevin Durant which contests his title as the greatest player of this era. Another ironic team up is the Harden, Curry duo. Rockets and Warriors always go head to head each and every time they cross paths but now it ceases, temporarily at least. The all-star game would be a phenomenal battle of rivalries. What would happen if two players who compete with each other team up? Who'll be the better duo this coming all-star game? Harden and Steph Curry would be an ultra-dangerous combination on the outside. One man isn't enough to stop their threes when they aren't together. In fact, they could not even get a hold of each other. Who could stop them if they... ... See more

Bogut Released by the Lakers

Expected to be signed by a playoff-bound team The Los Angeles Lakers have just lost their 9-straight game after beating the Houston Rockets. After sticking around within the top 10 in the Western Conference for most of the current season, the no-longer mighty Lakers have stumbled to the bottom of the West as they currently hold an 11-27 record. While injuries to Lonzo Ball and other players plus the Julius Randle problem have led to this struggle of the Purple and Gold, their inconsistencies on both ends of the court are to be blamed why the Lakers are this bad. The Lakers have also become known as a team who makes bad signings, something that they have done so consistently during the past few seasons. And it appears that they haven't learned anything at all. Andrew Bogut is believed by many as one of the greatest players Australia has ever produced. After all, he was picked by the Milwaukee Bucks as the top pick back in 2005. But he hadn't made a cra... ... See more

JaVale McGee to Milwaukee: Who would win in this trade?

Trade rumors surrounding JaVale  is popping out anew. The defending champions, the Golden State Warriors have finally overtaken the Houston Rockets atop the standings of the stacked Western Conference as they have won 9 of their last 10 games including their Christmas Day game against LeBron James and the rest of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Mind you, folks. They've been winning despite missing the services of 2-time MVP, Steph Curry who is currently nursing an injury. And given the fact that the Warriors have played amazingly over the past few weeks despite missing their stars, just imagine what the Warriors if they are in full strength.  Scary, isn't it? If you watched last season's Finals series between these two teams, there were other factors that enabled the Warriors to finish the series in 5 games outside of Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Steph Curry. Among those factors is having a bench who can step up anytime Steve Kerr called them up. And among those p... ... See more

Ball Scrutiny: 3 Reasons Why Bucks Crushed Cavs

Cleveland Cavaliers fell one step short, falling into the hands of the mighty Milwaukee. Lebron James with 39 points was worth nothing but a bitter defeat. What could've gone wrong for the Cavs? Or maybe it's just the Bucks finding the right mix for an impeccable chemistry? 1. Cavs too slow to come back? Bucks swallowed the Cavs whole in transition basket. Scoring 24 fast break points while Cavs with only 3. Yes, the Cavs had delivered well in terms of plays but in transition where high defensive vulnerability is present, that is where things got rough for Cleveland. They could not match Bucks' pace led by the Greek Freak with 27 points. 2. Greek Freak not Alone Anymore In most games, Giannis frequently scores above 30 points yet Bucks loses. So what's with a winning 27 point performance? The Greek Freak didn't fight alone against the Cavs. A small guy in the name of Eric Bledsoe helped him with 26 points. In fact, 4 of 5 starters fi... ... See more

DeAndre Jordan to the Bucks: How DJ Could Make Milwaukee a Contender?

The Bucks need a legitimate center to back up the Greek Freak and Eric Bledsoe Giannis Antetokounmpo will benefit the most if DeAndre Jordan goes to Milwaukee.  With the talents that DeAndre Jordan has, his rebounding abilities plus his defensive expertise, it shouldn't be a surprise if many teams, especially from the Eastern Conference, are trying to acquire Jordan via a trade.  You see, a center of DJ's caliber is now a rare thing in this league that is now dominated by guards. While we have seen multiple players who can play the center position, the true strength of a good team lies behind how strong its frontline is- particularly the one who is playing the center position because that guy will be the team's anchor on defense. DeAndre Jordan has been among the players who are likely to be traded this season. Why? With the Los Angeles Clippers miserably struggling this season as evident by their 9-15 record, plus the mere fact that 4 of their starters hav... ... See more

Balls-Eye: Who's the Most Consistent Offensive Player in the NBA League So Far?

Aside from scoring more than the opponent, another strategic attack to bag victory is ceasing the other team's dominant player on the offensive end. But not when against the Milwaukee Bucks. Giannis Antetokounmpo is a relentless scoring machine. With a 10-9 Win-Loss record this season with the Milwaukee Bucks, those 9 losses didn't mean a shutdown Giannis. He's just an all-out destructive mechanism anytime, anywhere and just gives it all to score as much as the Bucks needed every single game. 29.7 PPG plus 10.2 RPG. Many players can do a double-double game performance? But how about a double-double average? Not that typical eh? Well, Believe it or not. Those are Giannis' numbers so far. He frequently scores more than 30 points a game and that is not usual, not for Giannis. Scoring high is just as easy as picking apples. But Giannis could not take the whole team up, it shall be the team that shall keep up with him. If not, his tremendous efforts w... ... See more

By the Numbers: Bucks Win in Bledsoe's Debut

Having Bledsoe around makes life easier especially for Giannis Antetokuonmpo Giannis Antetokuonmpo had another stellar performance against an elite team in the West. After starting the season with an impressive record, the Milwaukee Bucks stumbled anew as they dropped 4 straight games. Fortunately, Eric Bledsoe, who was traded from the Phoenix Suns, made life brighter and easier for the Bucks despite not participating in any of the Bucks' practices right after the deal aside from the morning shootaround heading into their game against the San Antonio Spurs. In a game that was relatively close all throughout, the Milwaukee Bucks came out victorious as they beat the inconsistent San Antonio Spurs, 94-87- thanks to another MVP-like performance from the Greek Freak and a stellar performance from the Bucks' newest point guard, Eric Bledsoe. As mentioned, the game between the Spurs and Bucks was close but below are the numbers that won the game for the Bucks: ... ... See more

The Greek Freak with Milwaukee Season Forecast

With the Milwaukee Bucks having a great player like Giannis Antetokounmpo, it is undeniably the teams’ strength. The Greek Freaks’ offensive power had brought their team to victory. But the real deal is how long can the Greek Freak carry his team the way he does? Giannis has dominance in Bucks’ offense, yes now it is very much effective for the Milwaukee Bucks because they win games or keep a game close with their losses but it’s not as though Giannis can always carry his team up to the finals. The Greek Freak, being the greatest strength of Milwaukee will be a major loophole in the long run. He is the main frame of the offense, which will make it easier for them to be stopped as time passes. Why? Because the league only needs to shut down one player to shut down the whole team – this is the consequence that the Bucks may face if they’ll keep on relying solely on Giannis. The offense of the Bucks shall be widespread for their team to have the real threatening form, one player ... ... See more

How Unstoppable is Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo?

The Greek Freak Giannis Antetokounmpo is just relentless in every game He currently averages with terrifying numbers – 36.8 points per game, 10.3 Rebounds per game, and 5.3 assists per game. These numbers are humongous, particularly his scoring ability and efficiency every game. Just how strong this guy is based on what he had shown this early phase of the season? Being in the forward position, Giannis will be inevitably compared to the superstar LeBron James. But looking at today’s averages, LeBron is way behind Antetokounmpo with only 25 points in a game. LeBron James is the player who scores the most with consistency in the Cleveland team yet his performance is thwarted by this guy in the Bucks. Let us take a look back when the Milwaukee Bucks faced the Cleveland Cavaliers this season where the Bucks lost at a huge gap 116-97. It was a huge difference. It was also the Bucks’first and only lost so far but the question is did the Cavs shut down Antetokounmpo d... ... See more

The Question That Started all the Giannis Antetokounmpo Worries, Debate and Rumors

Giannis Antetokounmpo recently visited Manila for some charity work and that's awesome.  But more than the actual charity work itself, a statement from him was actually the one which made waves across the world and stirred the NBA world. The question came from our very own  Powcast.net reporter Ian Genada.  He asked Giannis how long he plans on staying with the the Bucks and his answer was something the management should be concerned about. On the other hand, this opens up an opportunity for other teams to get the service of this talented young Greek. I know it's kind of hard, a lot of people say that they would stay in the team but decide to move to a different team, but you guys need to remember that guy might want to stay in the team but the team need to do the right thing and the right move for the player to become great.  KD's reason he left OKC is to win a championship, so did he win the championship?   Then people cheered. ...so it's... ... Rose Alley Oop to Antetokounmpo: Bucks is Getting Close to Making This Happen

Rose and Antetokounmpo could be teammates soon! Derrick Rose at 28 should still be in the prime of his game but due to injuries, many teams have written him off their list. It's just too risky to sign a Derrick Rose to a contract especially after everything he has gone through. Bucks may be willing to risk as Coach Kidd has shown willingness and interest to meet him again for the second time to maybe potentially close the deal.  The only problem would be getting Rose to agree to a 5 million contract for the first year due to a limitation in the salary cap space. Derrick Rose in the past 3 years have actually played around 60 games per season, averaged about 31 minutes per games and produces 17 points with 4 assists per game. It's not bad at all. It will be an exciting season for the Bucks if this negotiation pulls through, seeing the Greek Freak and Derrick Rose in the same uniform will be an eye candy. Do you think acquiring Derrick Ros... ... See more
