Three-division, five-time titlist Shane Mosley (46-6-1, 39 knockouts) has a May 7, Top Rank Promotions, Showtime televised showdown with WBO welterweight (147pounds) and WBC junior middleweight (154 pounds) king Manny Pacquiao (52-3-2, 38 KOs), whose WBO belt will be on the line against Mosley.

Mosley's last loss was by unanimous decision in May of 2010 to six-time titlist Floyd Mayweather (41-0, 25 KOs), whom Mosley believes will be keeping a close watch on his fight with Pacquiao.
"I think Mayweather is waiting to see what happens between me and Manny, and then you're going to see a lot of Mayweather pop out...talking about different things.....about making a comeback or whatever. But I think he's just waiting in the cut to see what happens," Mosley told FanHouse.
If Mosley wins his next fight, he would first explore a rematch with Pacquiao. If the Filipino icon takes a pass, Mosley would then attempt to secure a return fight with Mayweather.
"I have to talk to [Top Rank CEO] Bob Arum because he has the first right of refusal. If Pacquiao wants a rematch, then we'll rematch Pacquiao. Mayweather, I didn't look so good with him the first time and I made some technical mistakes. Maybe if I correct one or two things in that fight, then it might be me with the knockout [win]. Mayweather was this close to being knocked out, in the second round. That's a testament to my punching power. If I hit you the right way, you're going to go to sleep. I think if I make some adjustments and work the right angles to keep hitting him with pinches, I think you'll see a totally different fight," Mosley said.
