Pacquiao ignores Floyd’s $100-M demand

Pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao flatly ignored Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s announcement that he would only take on the Filipino ring icon if paid the stiff amount of $100 million.
“I’m thinking about Sugar Shane Mosley because he will be my upcoming opponent and nobody else,” Pacquiao said.

Top Rank Promotion head Bob Arum said that the Pacquiao-Mosley fight slated May 7 in MGM Grand Las Vegas, could generate huge pay-per-view numbers and Pacquiao’s coming fights would do even more better so it is now irrelevant whether Mayweather (46-6-1 with 39 knockouts) fight him or not.
“Who’s going to pay him $100 million? I mean, unless Manny fights for nothing. He has priced himself out of the fight,” said Arum.
Arum said if Pacquiao (52-3-2 win-loss-draw with 38 knockouts) beats Mosley (46-6-1 with 39 knockouts), a third fight against Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez (52-5-1 with 38 knockouts) could take place sometime in November.
“A draw and a close loss to Manny, that seems to me the most-attractive fight. I didn’t want to do [Marquez] before Mosley.
Again, we are reaching out to a vast audience on CBS, so I needed an English-speaking opponent,” Arum told ringtv.com recently.
