Ginebra with a chance to tie with TNT after beating Phoenix

Barangay Ginebra San Miguel continues their winning streak as they send Phoenix home with a win. Phoenix tried to survive another day to make it to a wildcard phase and get the final spot in the top 8 of the post season conference.

Ginebra dominated the 1st half establishing a huge gap against the Fuel Masters while Phoenix played catch up during these quarters. Justin Brownlee who is consistently showing an excellent job in contributing figures in multiple departments continues his mission along side rookie Scottie Thompson, Japeth Aguilar and LA Tenorio.

Phoenix made a run during the pay off period as they brought down the lead down to 5 but eventually losing control again in the 1st part and regaining the same gap at the later part of the game. Eugene Phelps tried to salvage a win but he just cannot match his usual performance because of the Ginebra frontliners are giving him a hard time in the paint.

Ginebra is now has 8 wins and 2 losses and will face TNT  Katropa on sunday September 18 at Biñan, Laguna who is currently at the top of the standings at 9-1. A win against the TNT katropa will give them both a 9-2 ranking at the end of the eliminations and will be decided via quotient system. If Ginebra wins on Sunday they have a chance to get the 1st spot in the top 4 and might face the number 8 seed team which will be official in the next few games between ALASKA,  NLEX, PHOENIX and RAIN OR SHINE.
