A frustrating loss against the San Miguel Beermen puts Ginebra in the verge of falling in the bottom 4 in the standings but not that long, cause as far as this format goes, your team's standing in the Philippine cup will not only depend on your current win-loss record, it can also be attributed to how your fellow teams are going to perform.

Alaska Aces came off a 19 days of rest from the PBA hard court and emerged victorious in their showdown against one of the most popular ball clubs in the league Star Hotshots. Vic Manuel along side Calvin Abueva didn't mind getting that long rest off the court as they bring out their usual performance this night agains Star.

Vic Manuel had a huge performance of 25 points with 8 rebounds while Abueva contributed 23 points and nine rebounds.

This is a majot turn around for Barangay Ginebra as they are still in the play-off core and must win their future games as they are tied with Star at 3-4 win-loss.
