Phoenix Wheeling and Dealing Acquires Jazul and Eriobu From Separate Trades




The 2017 PBA Philippine Cup is not yet over but eliminated PBA teams are starting to reshuffle their lineups.

The Phoenix Fuel Masters have acquired rookie forward Joseph Eriobu for center Prince Caperal. Eriobu averages 6.6 points and 3.7 rebounds in just 17 minutes of action.

Meanwhile, Caperal averages career-best 5.9 points and 6.4 rebounds in 19 minutes of action per game. The former Arellano Chief is expected to provide the Floodbusters an inside presence who lost rookie Russell Escoto to injury.

Later on the day, the Fuel Masters also shipped Simon Enciso to the Alaska Aces for veteran guard RJ Jazul.

The Aces added youth and athleticism with vastly-improved Simon Enciso who is averaging 12.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 33 minutes per game.

Jazul, on the other hand, played a vital part in Alaska Aces campaign through the years, winning the 2013 commissioners cup with the Aces. The 30-year old guard is averaging 9.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3 assists per game this Philippine Cup. He is expected to provide the Fuel Masters a veteran presence and outside scoring.
