Isaiah Austin Exemplary Performance Carries Philippines to a Resounding Win Against Thailand

Austin Powers Chooks To Go to Get 2nd win in the 2017 FIBA Asia Champions Cup


The Philippine Team returned to the win column after a dominating performance against Thailand's Mono Vampire to win with the score of 115-102.


Chenzhou Sports Center, Isaiah Austin shows his all-around game by scoring 27 points grabbing 19 rebounds and swatting 4 blocks. The efficiency rubbed onto the team as Chooks to Go Pilipinas was shooting at 59% FG on the way to a dominating victory against Mono Vampire.

Thai's got their boost from former PBA import Michael Singletary who scored a total of 32 points and Jason Brickman who contributed 17 buckets.

The Philippines, however, was just too much as Kiefer Ravena continues to impress with his consistent play, this time scoring 24 points and dishing out 7 assists. Jeron Teng also found his mark with 17 points but Carl Bryan Cruz shines the brightest amongst the local scoring a game high of 28 points which consist of 8 three-point shots.

It was all Philippine tonight as they lead all game long on the way to their second wins in three games.

Chooks will get a one-day rest then will be back on the court again, this time they will face Petrochimmi of Iran at 9:45 pm.
