Neil Magny Goes Distance, Defeats Former Champion

The no. 8-ranked welterweight Neil Magny got the win in UFC 207 action Friday at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada, beating former champion after the three rounds. Neil Magny returned to the win column with a unanimous decision victory but it didn't come without controversy. Johny Hendricks was landing takedowns and in ground control. No doubting or hating on Bigg Rigg but how take downs can be scored heavily when Hendricks was just holding his opponent and Mangy did more battle from the bottom. UFC even showed that Magny had twice as many significant ground strikes on TV. The submission Neil Magny attempted when he got the head of former champion caught in a tight triangle with elbows during the first and last round was difference for me. He did more work. It was a near tap experience too. I thought it was going to be a submission finish though. Close one. Magny edged Hendricks on scores after the three rounds. He also gets 20% of Hendricks purse. Hendricks missed we... ... See more

UFC 207: Nunes vs. Rousey Results, Hightlights and Bonuses

The return of Ronda Rousey only lasted 48 seconds after Amanda Nunes successfully defended her UFC women's bantamweight crown at UFC 207 on Dec. 30 at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada. Nunes was clearly the superior fighter. Rousey threw some punches but got countered everytime until she got pummeled in the face. Ref Herb Dean stopped the fight to save the former champ from more battering. I saw no Ronda Rousey during the whole fight. The utterly dominant Ronda who even claimed she could beat Mayweather. Really I hope she becomes strong both mentally and emotionally and comes back still. The trading insults at one another between Dominick Cruz and Cody Garbrandt indeed erupted into a five round brawl! Cody's excellent game plan and dance moves were on display. He was landing big punches and took Dominick down during the first round. The left eye of the former champ was cut from a headbutt causing him to bleed in the third round.  Cruz was outclassed, taunted and dan... ... See more

Werdum-Velasquez rematch set for UFC 207

There will be no world championship on the line when Fabricio Werdum and Cain Velasquez meet for the second time in a UFC 207 bout on Friday, December 30 in Las Vegas. But don’t expect there to be any less intensity when two of the greatest heavyweights of all-time attempt to settle their score at T-Mobile Arena. Originally scheduled to face each other for the second time in February, an injury to Velasquez scrapped the bout, and heavyweight history was ultimately altered, as Werdum went on to lose the belt he took from Velasquez in June of 2015 to Stipe Miocic at UFC 198 in May. Since that bout, Brazil’s Werdum bounced back with a three round unanimous decision over Travis Browne in September that cemented his No. 1 ranking atop the division. But while Werdum is seeking a championship rematch with Miocic, he first has business to settle with the No. 2-ranked Velasquez. A two-time heavyweight champion, California’s Velasquez bounced back from his defeat to Werdum with a Perfor... ... See more
