Star is having a great start in the 2017 Commissioners Cup as they beat Mahindra who now falls to 1 win with 4 losses. Star now shares the league leader honor with Alaska Aces after their win today.

Star is enjoying a 4 game winning streak and was just getting the production they need from the players. Star had 49 bench points production against Mahindra who only got a 22 point boost from the reserves. Star also got 12 team steals compared to Mahindra who only got 4.

Tony Mitchel was the man of the hour and was contributing from both ends of the floor scoring 19 points, grabbing 15 rebounds and blocking 6 shots. It was a great overall performance by the import.

Tony Mitchell however, doesn't feel the same way. After the game, he was interviewed and was asked about his performance.

Honestly, that wasn't really our best game, that wasn't a good performance for all of us. But we are happy about the win. But other than that, we just got to work hard and keep getting better.  - Tony Mitchell
