Chooks To Go Pilipinas is Ready for FIBA Champions Cup

Chooks to Go Pilipinas coaches and staff probably did not enjoy the stiff timeline that they had in forming a team that would compete for FIBA Asia Champions Cup this Friday in China.

Yesterday, they just announced the final roster and while it was declared as final, it's not at all set in stone as two of the imports still got VISA issues that still need to be resolved before they leave for China. That alone is stressful and it makes the player and the team lose focus on what they should just be doing.

Nonetheless, the 12-man roster which was presented yesterday during the press con was full of potential yet it is not the best our country has to offer. Bannered by a few PBA players like LA Revilla, Norbert Torres, and  Carl Bryan Cruz the PBA is not represented well on the roster.

None PBA players like Jeron Teng and Kiefer Ravena could potentially lead the scoring parade among this group for the locals.  Chooks to Go have to settle with what they have and this is why they acquired two big imports in Rod Ebondo and Isaiah Austin but with the impending issues with their VISA is still unresolved they may have to settle in with Gab Banal and Andre Paras.

Locals: Jeron Teng, Jeric Teng, Kiefer Ravena, LA Revilla, Norbert Torres, Carl Bryan Cruz, Raymar Jose,  Almond Vosotros, Jett Manuel, and Alfrancis Tamsi.

Import: Rod Ebondo and Isaiah Austin

Backup: Gab Banal and Andre Paras
