Will Christian Standhardinger Push Through With the PBA Rookie Draft or Will he be Disqualified?

Christian was the only rookie absent for the PBA Draft Combine

Christian Standhardinger 2017 PBA Rookie Draft

Among the 45 PBA Rookie hopefuls only one was absent, and that one is the potential number one pick of this year's rookie draft.

Christian Standhardinger introduced himself to the local basketball fans when he joined the Philippine national squad as a replacement for Andray Blatche. Skeptical and unsure, the fans carefully watched the 28-year old Filipino German as he slowly but surely captured the hearts and the attention of the local fans with his hard nose, no-nonsense style of basketball play.

The 6'9' Forward has been sought after since then and his application for this year PBA draft has been the talk of the town and had many teams salivating for the service of the primed Standhardinger, except maybe for Kia who is giving away the rights to draft him at first pick.

Yesterday, however, during the PBA Draft Combine at the Gatorade Hoops Center, he was the only one missing and it put some questions to his real intention and willingness to play for the Philippine Basketball Association.

Before applying for the PBA draft, Standhardinger signed with the Hong Kong Eastern Long Lions in the Asean Basketball League, this means that he won't be available at the early part of the PBA season because of his outstanding commitment.

According to reports, he was not able to attend because he is still in Hong Kong practicing with his team as they are preparing for the up and coming ABL season which will start in November.

PBA is still waiting for an official letter or notice from the coveted player for his reasons, and according to different sources, the PBA may sanction or forfeit his application this year.

I do not think they would, however, since having Christian Standhardinger in the league would definitely help the PBA especially with his star power.

I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Details on Kiefer Ravena's PBA Salary Revealed, 350,000 a Month!

It's huge! Kiefer Ravena's salary means a lot is expected from him

If NLEX could offer him more then maybe they would but for now, Keifer Ravena would have to settle for a maximum rookie salary that's worth 8.5 million in three years.
The 2nd overall pick of this year's draft may have waited to get into the PBA but that delay was worth it after the team who drafted him showed big confidence and locked him for three years.
As per our source, his salary on a monthly basis will be at  P150,000 a month for the first year. Then will go to P225,000 and the last year would be at  P350,000. The salary isn't the highest as Terrence Romeo and JunMar Fajardo, two of the biggest names in the PBA is getting more or less half a million every month.

At 24 years old, however, the former Ateneo star is only one of the two players this rookie class who's getting a max deal, one of which is Rookie Christian Standhardinger.
Kiefer Ravena has shown excitement on twitter and ther…

Will Lonzo Ball Ever Develop His Offensive Game?

In the Lakers' game against the Miami Heat, there were two plays that caught my attention. One was that outlet pass by LeBron James to an open Lonzo Ball who was open for a layup. No one was even close to defending Lonzo at the point and he chose to softly lay it in which […] MoreThe post Will Lonzo Ball Ever Develop His Offensive Game? appeared first on Powcast Sports.
