OYM: "On Your Mark" Run on May 22, 2016

Runners! You’ve got to check this one out!

Mizuno, a globally-renowned Japanese sportswear brand, brings you their upcoming running trilogy “OYM: On Your Mark” Run on May 22, 2016 at the Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. The Philippine running community is bombed with several runs every month of the year and this one, my friends, will be one of the biggest runs that will hit this summer.

“On Your Mark” will showcase a 3-leg run or a Trilogy. Like other institutionalized and respected running trilogies (I’m looking at you, Run United), the race is progressive in nature. It offers different categories that runners may participate in while maximizing the longest distance in each leg.

One of the most exciting features about this leg is the 18K category. As a seasoned runner, I grew accustomed to the standard race categories: 5K, 10K, 21K, 32K, and 42K. Based on experience, an 18K race category comes rarely. This category provides aspiring half-marathoners a rite of passage, or should we say, a sneak peek of what the 21K distance is all about. Those who are preparing for higher distances and Long Slow Distance (LSD) runners should definitely try out OYM’s 18K race category.

All registered OYM runners will receive an official OYM Trilogy Cardthat contains the runner’s basic information and three blank spaces for 18K, 21K, and 25K stamps. For each leg of the OYM Trilogy that you finish, your card receives a stamp as a proof of completion, and as a reminder of your progress! By the end of the culmination leg, which is the 25K, you will receive the OYM Trilogy medal aside from the three previous medals you get for each leg. Never experienced joining a 3-Leg running event with a bonus medal before? Well, the OYM Trilogy this summer is a great one to try!
