Jobert Alvarez set for his second comeback fight!
Former WBO-NABO Flyweight champion Jobert "Little Pacman" Alvarez makes his second comeback fight after suffering first round TKO shocking defeat at the hand of Pennsylvania's Miguel Cartagena on July 2016 in Florida. Jobert Alvarez (16-2-1,7) will take on Roque Lauro (13-21-5,3) in a 10 round non title flyweight fight this coming June 27 at Makati Cinema Square in Makati City.
27-year-old Alvarez from General Santos City is well known for his fight against Mexican boxing star Juan Francisco Estrada where he gave Estrada a close and hard fight but loses by decision. After his defeat he bounce back fast and captured the WBO-NABO Flyweight crown by stopping former world contender Puerto Rican Jonathan Gonzalez in sixth round in March 2016 in Guaynabo Puerto Rico. His first comeback fight was happened last May 12 where he outclassed Rodel Tejares in their 6 round-Super flyweight bout.
The United Cup XVI "10 Round Challenge" will also features another come backing boxer Ivan Soriano (15-1-1) who will take on Bimbo Nacionales (14-13-1) and former WBC International champion Ardin Diale (32-11-4) who will go up against Wiljan Ugbaniel (13-4-1).
The event will also feature Filipino-Japanese triple header fights. The scheduled fight is as follows:
