Michael Kidd-Gilchrist Kidd-Gilchrist sent to hospital for shoulder X-rays

Charlotte Hornets coach Steve Clifford said forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist was taken to the hospital for further evaluation Saturday night after injuring his right shoulder in Charlotte's 106-100 exhibition win over the Orlando Magic.

Kidd-Gilchrist was curling off a screen late in the second quarter when he tumbled to the ground after absorbing a foul by a Magic player. He stayed down for several seconds and got up holding his right shoulder. He was immediately helped to the locker room.
